The Consorta Group Buy Program delivers significant value to both the Consorta membership and contracted suppliers. The Program supports the formation of win-win purchasing events which essentially exchange increased sales volume for better-than-agreement product price savings.  Below are some of the different Group Buy methods that may be employed based on product category and member dynamics.

  • Preferred Group Buys
  • Reverse Auctions
  • Pre-committed Volume Purchases
  • Live Group Buy Events
  • Volume Incentive Purchases

All Consorta contracted suppliers within a given product or service category are provided with an equal opportunity to sponsor or actively participate in all Group Buy events.

Participating suppliers have their established time-limited better-than-agreement pricing highlighted to the Consorta membership through the monthly Group Buy e-Newsletter, the Group Buy Web page, and verbal communication at appropriate Consorta committee meetings. The increased communication channels serve to drive member interest towards the sponsoring suppliers, motivating Consorta members to purchase during the specified Group Buy timeframe.

Every attempt is made to provide each supplier (within a multi-source product category) with the opportunity to sponsor a sole source Group Buy during the timeframe of their choice.
