Consorta Selects REPtrax to Provide Vendor Management for its
Shareholders and Members
Schaumburg, Ill., November 6, 2007 - Consorta, a
leading healthcare group purchasing and resource management
organization announced that it has selected REPtrax as their
platform of choice to communicate and manage vendor policies for
their shareholders and members. Consorta's membership includes more
than 500 acute and over 300 extended care facilities throughout the
country.
"Consorta and our member hospitals selected REPtrax as our single
platform for vendor management, because we felt that their approach
to vendor management had two key ingredients: fairness and
accountability," said John Sampson, Director, Supply Chain & IT
Services for Consorta. "We believe by providing a national standard
the value proposition is not only realized by the hospital but the
vendor as well."
Peter Sheehan, founder and creator of the REPtrax platform added,
"Consorta has a long history in creating value for their member
hospitals as well as their contracted vendors. We are eager to
continue that trend by providing a standard in Vendor Management
that will create efficiencies for the entire supply chain."
The Web-based REPtrax platform will be responsible for collecting
and managing the critical credentials of Consorta's member hospitals
vendor community. The platform will also serve as a communication
and enforcement portal for vendor policies that extend beyond just
credentials including procurement policies and procedures.
"Up until now, it has been extremely difficult to enforce vendor
policies" added Sampson, "but with REPtrax's community based vendor
policy enforcement tool; REPscore, our hospitals can work together
to reward those vendors that adhere to their hospitals' policies."
REPtrax and Consorta member hospitals will be implementing the
REPtrax platform in the coming months with additional communication
to the vendor community to follow. REPtrax is a service provided by
deView electronics based out of Lewisville, Texas.
